The Glaucoma service is dedicated to early detection and treatment of glaucoma in its various types.
Most up-to-date equipment consisting of the newly developed optic nerve head analyzer (GDX) and automated visual fields is used for the detection and follow-up of glaucoma.
Newest laser techniques are performed to treat open angle, angle closure and iris plateau glaucoma. Microsurgical procedures are performed by glaucoma subspecialists to treat visually disabling open angle glaucoma by trabeculectomy, and potentially binding neovascular glaucoma by tube shunts.
